So I started Disco Elysium tonight after the raving reviews on Reddit. It plays fine on the deck as it’s not graphics intensive but IMO it’s kinda weird.

Is it one of those games it takes time to gf into? I played for an hour.

Second, how important is it to look at every interactable?

Any gameplay tips if I keep going?

    Yes, it’s a slow game, the main plot takes more than 20 hrs to finish and with side quests you get into 30-40hrs range, according to https://howlongtobeat.com/game/57335 That’s a lot, considering the gameplay area is not very large compared to typical RPG’s.

    And it’s mostly talking to NPC’s. Or to yourself.

    It’s more like a book (and a good one), but it took me several hours of gameplay before I started to figure out the basics, characters and enjoy it more.
