Hi everyone, I’m very new here and I only joined for this purpose im sorry, but I’ve recently bought the S23FE because of black friday not knowing about how the s22 is cheaper and a better phone (costs in New Zealand)

I saw a few posts here about it saying its a disappointment and now im panicking, I’m a teenager and my family doesn’t have all too much money to spend and I’ll have to use this phone for at least 3 years.

Please help!

Also I wasn’t sure if this was a support thread post but if it is im sorry, im just really worried right now

From NZ as well, question did you buy it from PB Tech? If so, and you haven’t taken it out of the box, I think you can return it within a week under the ‘Change of mind’ policy.

How much did you end up spending for the S23FE and how much do base S23 retail where you live?

You dont need to worry. S23 FE ended up being not as good as the phone fans were expecting, but regarding the specs and price, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s a pretty alrite phone, and I’m certain you’ll use it with pleasure without any major issues for 3 years.

You probably already seen the hate against Exynos chips, and they are mostly correct. However, I used s21 fe over 2 years without any regret. Yeah, the battery life wasn’t great, but apart from that, it was a pretty solid experience overall.

However, it would be right to state that after switching to an s23 this year, I realized how much better snapdragon is in almost every aspect. But again, I don’t think you should worry, just enjoy your new phone. You’ll upgrade it when needed. You dont need to spend more than you can for something like this. I’m certain you’ll enjoy s23 FE for quite some time. <3

depends where you compare it, retail price yes

rrp for the fe is 1099 and the 23 is 1699 in nz but at the moment the s23 can be found for around 1400 (cheapest ive seen was 1249) for $200 difference its a good thing to think about. for $600+ difference? get the fe which i have seen as low as like 900~

You gotta realize that reddit is a bit of an echo chamber. People arguing that the S23FE is terrible cuz its 0.5% worse than the S22 in some very specific aspect. Any Samsung S series phone of the past 2-3 years will serve you just fine.

I mean s23 fe isn’t a bad phone. Think about it like s23 plus but not absorbently expensive.

I have the s23 and it’s been terrible that I’m going back to using the s21. There are so many issues with this phone that none of my other prior Samsung’s didn’t have.

Charging port doesn’t seem to hold plugs very well, and the overnight charge didn’t work, and yes I’ve tried many chords And all of those cords work on my other phones.

Sometimes people have trouble hearing me. Call quality is subpar. None of my other prior phones ever had that issue.

Photos for some reason start duplicating themselves and Samsung’s tech support accidentally deleted the wrong ones so I lost years of photos.

Internet speed is not that good. I find that I go back to my old phone or tablet and use that one.

Phone is not even 5 months old yet Wishing I’d never bought it…
