I made a post saying that I was happy with my LCD Deck, which I am. But it seems like everywhere I look all I see is the OLED is a must have, must upgrade, best thing ever since sliced bread. Add to that my cousin who said wanted to get a pc, but he fell in love with the Deck one time he came over to my place, even more when I told him he could hook it up to a tv or monitor and use it like a PC, use m/kb, play emulators, etc I explained the whole thing. Anyway my uncle said he’d buy my deck if I was interested in selling it. Not satisfied with that, life throws me another curveball with my job announcing I’m getting my bonus early, on thanksgiving instead of Christmas like every year. I swear, Lord Gabe is testing me, and I am weak…

    Must have? No.

    But after upgrading my TV from plasma to OLED and my HDR gaming monitor is IPS… I figure this is a cheaper upgrade than a 27" OLED monitor … If they even exist yet.

    the money wasnt the issue for me, but it still seemed like a bad purchase since I already owned a launch 512 LCD. well I had a few things to throw on marketplace including the gen 1 SD and boom my LE Oled was paid for without having to actually spend any cash out of pocket. Today I just won a 4 leg parlay on a football game with a free bonus bet and my wifes 512 Oled is paid for lol. Happy day.

    I only say you could go for it since you have an open option to sell your old to your uncle - but otherwise, don’t let consumerism get you if you really don’t feel you need it.

    Don’t feel guilty. I got my refurbished LCD SD just before the announcement. I’m very happy with it, but if I was able to get enough money for a new one the way you described, I wouldn’t hesitate to get it.
