I am using the Galaxy A 53 5G and I love it. It has a good camera. The A 54 is only 50 megapixels and the A 53 is a 64 megapixels. My opinion is A 53.

It’s okay, but many will suggest a used flagship phone.

Get a flagship instead. Like the S21 Ultra. It’s much better for the same price.

I use the A54 and haven’t got an issue with the performance. If you’re in the US, there were killer deals on the S23 FE, Pixel 7, etc. Photos are your thing, so I’d definitely recommend the Pixel 7 or something like the S23+ with a better processor. Buy them second hand on Swappa if you want to save a few bucks.

I doubt it’s a huge upgrade from the a71

I was not happy with the overall performance of the A54 5G, returned it. Most of the time it was OK, but I noticed sporadic lag when scrolling through long complex web sites, gaming and some videos. I don’t upgrade often and tend to keep my phones for a long time, I don’t want a phone that lags at all right out of the box.

For me, I am looking at a S23+ or even a S24+ if the pre-order deals are good. If money is tight, I’d look at a refurbished flagship.

I guess the s21fe or 23fe would be great choices. Better than the a54

I’m using one, and it’s ok for a daily driver as it has good battery life, and I don’t game heavily or take pictures much.

However, for camera, you may want to look at another unit. How about the S23 or S23 FE?
