I saw a pop-up on my phone, and it says
“Led Cover Black will expire on October 31, and all related content will be deleted.” I have a Samsung Note 10 and a LED cover on it. After that day, won’t I be able to use it?
Welcome to planned obsolescence
Okay, I mean I get the outrage. I really do.
But this is a niche product and people are saying Samsung should keep supporting it with updates forever? With so few people using that, it doesn’t make sense to waste resources to keep developing software updates for it with Android updates.
I get the outrage but I feel like this particular product is a little niche to be claiming “Samsung is just greedy!” on this one. Yes that’s a true statement in general, but not specifically a reason for this situation.
Oh no! My fridge from 2010 won’t get more updates so it must be disabled forever!!!
I mean there’s nothing to update. It’s a case, you don’t need to disable it when you don’t want to make any more updates.
Well, I assume that there has been no update for a while for this product. Also, there is no need to update anyway. I just wonder why they are deleting apps for no reason. I paid and bought that, I would like to use it anyway. Whereas, it is a good product by itself. Also, as far as I know, there is no phone case like that for next-generation phones.
A colleague of mine recommended me to harry_speef On Instagram when i had same issue and he helped me
What in the fucking world is this? A physical object you own will be remotely disabled? Am I missing something?

Seems like they just remove the app based on this
Based on comments they just remove the theme I think. Also I don’t care the theme either. I hope it will happen that way.
Nah. They just remove the app. They won’t remove the themes. All it takes is for someone to grab an apk and you can sideload it.
They just no longer support it and have it visible on the Galaxy Store and Google Play, that all. If they pull the theme but keep the app, that isn’t really ideal, especially if the app paid for.
