i fell like the LCDs brightness is turned way up in this picture, while the OLEDs is turned down… we already know, the OLED is brighter… so…

Nope, that’s not how it works. Both are max brightness. The camera makes things seem a little worse though.

It’s like some people never saw an Oled display, don’t you have an iPhone on Android newer phones? we know Oled is another league compared to LCD, especially compared to the low quality one the old Deck has…this picture doesn’t even really show how much better the Oled display is in real life

I love my LCD Deck but I totally understand the hype behind OLED. Those blacks are BLACK.

Honestly I feel the settings have been altered here, I took the following picture of my deck with my phone some months ago to indicate a bug stating I have been banned from vegasVR when trying to play it on the steamdeck, not actually banned at all, it loads shortly after but not this is beside the point - https://imgur.com/VXPGBVk

Those blacks look pretty black to me, in general day to day I can tell the screen is not OLED black but its not Game Gear black as you are showing above.

Looks better, if I didn’t already have a steam deck it would be a decision which one to buy

But I don’t have the disposable income to justify losing hundreds of pounds for blacker blacks.

And brighter more vibrant and more accurate colors. And much better battery life. And… And… And…

It’s a big upgrade. Well worth it to sell your LCD assuming you can afford to come up with the extra. If not, just forget about these posts for now and enjoy your Deck.
