You should aim to provide as much information as possible on the first message to support, used to work support for years, the amount of “my game don’t work” tickets I received from users seeking help but zero information.

Honestly I feel the settings have been altered here, I took the following picture of my deck with my phone some months ago to indicate a bug stating I have been banned from vegasVR when trying to play it on the steamdeck, not actually banned at all, it loads shortly after but not this is beside the point - https://imgur.com/VXPGBVk
Those blacks look pretty black to me, in general day to day I can tell the screen is not OLED black but its not Game Gear black as you are showing above.
I never use them, too sensitive and not fond of the texture, might give them a go on the OLED when it comes and get them setup correctly.
It took me almost 2 hours before i managed a purchase, I did have to go mobile though as I had to ferry kids around to after school clubs and there is a serious issue with the Steam app switching to Paypal as payment, just gives errors after asking for my email 5 times. but after disabling the steam app and using chrome it worked first time, so maybe if I tried that sooner it may have taken just over an hour, who knows.
It is a frustrating experience, same issues last time for the first hour on the computer, failed attempts get to last confirmation page, fail, get temporarily banned for too many payment attempts, whilst seeing others being successful.
But 5 hours later the store was still showing 6-10 business days and in stock so, hopefully there is no backorder bad news to come in the next few days.
Got there in the end and look forward to the same thing for the Steamdeck 2.

Its a real shame that happened to you. Interesting reading through this thread though, I always prefer cashless exchanges myself, lots of risk of someone just mugging you when meeting up. Never knew you could reverse a payment to another bank account, given all the warnings to ensure the details are correct etc, always seemed like it was final.

Yeah that’s a modded lcd, where did you get the parts? Hoping to mod my oled to make it look like this as Valve won’t sell it to me in UK :(
