Just ordered an oled steam deck and I plan on emulating games at some point. Curious to see what everyone’s favourites are here.
The WiiU Wind Waker HD with the graphics pack is amazing
just started botw. love it
Gran turismo 4. Works almost perfectly. Still great game. Ideal for handgeld gaming.
Tried playing this on my pc a while back and kept running into graphical artefacts, maybe I’ll have better luck this time.
Also I’ll probably try the old burnout games, loved those growing up.
Bully. The PC port is that bad, it’s better to just emulate the PS2 version.
Can play SOCOM US NAVY SEALS: COMBINED ASSAULT on the PS2 emulator on steam deck. Works great!
We have private ONLINE servers that a small community of us play on just like the good ol days!
Playable on: PS2 PS3 PC Nextgen XBOX and Steam Deck! Free!

I thought that was an Xbox 360/ps3 game
How so? Ive looked at some comparison videos, and the PC version looks better compared to the PS2 one.
I just never had luck with the PC version, it crashes constantly. If you upscale the resolution of the PS2 emulation, the game looks pretty decent.
Haven’t seen much people talk about it but the steam deck is perfect for guitar hero. Got the guitar controllers and everything, me and my brother been having a blast with it
What controllers do you use?
I got it from Walmart but they sell the same ones on Amazon. It’s the one with the Bluetooth usb
Daytona USA (there is a PC port but it is crap)
3d Zelda trilogy on cemu
Metal Gear Solid
NBA Street Vol 2 or NFL 2k5 with the 2k24 mod
Which emulator for NBA street vol 2? I tried the PS2 one a few months ago and had random slowdowns during gameplay.
These games look so good when upscaled, I was surprised. NBA street plays great on the deck
Final fantasy vi and crash Bandicoot
Lot of great suggestions already. I would say whatever you pick, try to stick with it for a little. Emulation can be a rabbit hole of just trying games out to see how they run only to never make any meaningful progress in it.
Be better than us.
This is honestly what’s keeping me out of emulation. I have limited play-time available to me, and I know if I started emulating on my deck I would spend all that time just finding ROMs and testing them, and being like “oh neat I can play chuchu rocket” but then never playing it again.
I did that initially without even realising. Then I created some structure for myself and I’m now gradually playing every US-released SNES game in release order. I take my time and just play each one for as long as it’s fun.
So far I played mainly Fire Emblem the sacred stones and Luigi’s Mansion for the GC. For the switch I am struggling to see how to emulate, even though I would like to give mario wonders a shot
Everybody’s Golf 4 from PS2. It plays as it was made for the Deck.
TOTK
F0-X for the N64. That’s my all time favorite game from that console.
