Did you get the LE version? If so how long did it take from ordering?

I just pulled the trigger and it says 1-2 weeks on the order page.

I see that the shell is slightly transparent, and I have to ask: why no atomic purple? Why would they design it specifically like that if they weren’t gonna use Gameboy colors? Pun intended

Fuck yes. Shovel Knight is amazing. Jake Kaufman did an amazing job with the soundtrack. Strike the Earth!

I’m very impressed with the difference as well. Text based games that used to suffer from small text are much easier to read and it’s nice to have a little bit more room because of the smaller bezels. Even rpg maker games are more fun to play because the colors pop and the screen panning are much easier on the eyes due to the faster display.

I also want to mention that I’m using the etched glass until I get my screen protector shipped and the experience is fantastic. I much prefer matte finishes on my displays and I have used them for most of my life, but the etched glass is on a different level. I don’t notice that “rainbow” effect that you see even on good matte coatings on computer monitors while still getting the benefit of that diffused light when there is a bright light source nearby. I don’t doubt that the glossy version has higher contrast as we have seen so far, but that doesn’t make the etched screen any less impressive. You still get much better contrast, faster response time, while not suffering from IPS glow, VA panel black crush/smearing, and TN’s lower capacity for colors and viewing angles. The only question you have to ask yourself is if you just simply hate matte finishes.

Can’t wait to get mine. No rush though. Couldn’t pass on the LE OLED. I dig the translucent shell and the red/orange trim.

That limited edition deck is really awesome. Unfortunately for us in Europe it was not available so I just got the regular 1tb model. Still waiting for my new toy but the OG deck is keeping me busy.

How is the 30fps gaming? I heared its worse than on LCD due to pixel response time.

I still dont know what to do… I sold my anti-glare screen Deck LCD so I can buy a new one. But internet seems to be quite divided about the screen. 80% of people say that glossy os superior and 20% prefer anti glare. But also those 80% seem to think that anti-glare is super bad.

I had Anti-glare version of LCD and on that device it felt super good.

    Which one I should buy?

Other than the screen and different internal storage sizes what else has changed? Seems easier to just get a dock and plug my non oled deck into a 4k tv. Also why do refresh rate matter on old games that didn’t even have the capability of running at 90hz?
