My wife is a handheld gamer by heart, and I would love to gift her a proper console, ie. a Steam Deck.
In the best of all worlds, I would manage to set up the deck with her Steam account and install a new game beforehand.
Can you outline a way for me to achieve this without spoiling the surprise? Is it at all possible without getting access to her mail account?

Setup is quick and easy. I think you’re better off just keeping it sealed in the box.
Half the fun is setting up the Steam Deck, I say let her do it herself tbh
If she has games on her PC that she would play on the deck they can be directly downloaded from the PC to the deck.
Don’t link it to her account before, she will find out.
