Hi all,
Looking to buy a second-hand Intel Optane P5800X SSD drive, which the seller claims is still new and sealed.
However, I’m unable to verify its SN (PHAL2072006F400BGN) via Intel warranty support website:
https://supporttickets.intel.com/s/warrantyinfo?language=en_US
Does that mean the drive is not genuine?

Almost certainly a bulk P5800X DC variant, for hyperscalars or IBM / Dell EMC, etc. Genuine, but no Intel warranty as a third party owner.
If you’re in the US, Provantage has them new for $700, or if you don’t need that faster type, Newegg has the 960GB 905P for $299 at the moment.
Looks like my p1600x boxes do
Doubt it’s counterfeit, but who knows
