I recently chanced upon this piece of news where a woman was trapped in her bathroom for days as her doorknob had somehow malfunctioned. She was living by herself at that point of time and didn’t think to bring her mobile along for her toilet trip when the misadventure happened.

As someone who is currently living by myself, this might very well be me, however low the chance might be. Is there any app that can track your last activity on your phone, and notify your next-of-kin should your last activity exceeds…say 24 hours?

I live alone. I just never lock the bathroom door. And I also have a Google Assistant device in my living room that can possibly make phone calls for me if i shout out loud from a bathroom

Keep a smart tag on you or where you think you might get trapped. Program the button to do whatever you want. Or get a watch.

    Not that I know of.

But it I lived alone, I wouldn’t bother to close the bathroom door. Pre kids, everytime partner went away, doors were left open.

Not sure about other countries, but if you’re in the US, you can get an Echo Dot from Amazon, link your phone number, then make and receive calls on it.

Get a galaxy smart watch. If you leave your phone in another part of your house you will likely still be in bluetooth range so you don’t necessarily need the LTE version of the watch.

If you get stuck in a room you can use the watches text app or whatsapp app to send a message.

Also, set up your hard fall alert to notify family or a friend. If you were to fall, the watch should auto notify your desired contacts.
