What model? What do you mean can’t remove icons? What buttons are you talking about? You can customize damned near everything on modern samsungs, largely using goodlock. Explain a bit more me or somebody else can help. Wallpaper just long press on homescreen background.

My pleasure buddy. On youtube look for “first X# of things you must do with the s23” or similar. They will all cover the Goodlock basics. You can customize damned near anything if you poke around enough. Also, don’t sleep on routines and routines+ again through goodlock. Plenty of vids on that too under titles like “s23 hidden feature” or “most powerful samsung feature you don’t know about” or whatever

Samsungs ui is garbage out the box. Just bad. Go to galaxy store, install good lock. It’s an official app. Then go through and check out the different modules. One handed ui plus lets you set up all number of different swipe commands. Even if if it doesn’t do what you’re looking for it’s super convenient. I just swapped to s23u and was getting frustrated accidently hitting enter while texting. I installed keys café and made my own keyboard just how I wanted. Deleted period, swapped comma and enter, etc. I’m particular about how my phone looks so I installed theme park and changed all my icons and colors. Can really make your phone yours

Dev options just gives you more flexibility. I think that’s where you get the option to turn off transition animations but not sure because i never use phone without dev options.

S20fe had same chipset, but yes same idea. They aren’t intended to really “budget” in the usual sense as (at least on the s20) it was more functional in some ways. Make a cheaper model that focuses on what people like/need and cut corners on stuff they don’t find useful. My dream would be an ultra with trash cameras and same specs otherwise. I’m not sure if that is current philosophy because I’ve read the s23fe was a miss. I would say look up past models to see the differences.

I believe they dropped the fan edition label and now FE is just FE. The differences vary from model to model but they were meant to listen to the fans. Like, s20 is great but I want a bigger screen and less ram for less money. Got to check them spec by spec
