Hi all,

I am starting this off saying I am dying for a new phone my current phone only lasts around 30 minutes of usage unplugged.

I just wanted to get some opinions is it worth it to now get the S23 or would it be worth waiting for the S24 as it will be about reasonably soon? I’m not sure of much information about it however I am sure there are some people here who will know a lot more than me. I can make do with my current device for now so I have no issue waiting but do you think it would be worth the extra wait or not?

This question is asked a lot here but it always boils down to this:

Are you living in Europe? If the answer is yes, buy the S23.

If the answer is no, wait for the S24.

Reason is that the S23 is equipped with Snapdragon SoC, while the S24 will have Samsung’s in-house Exynos. The difference between the two are so huge in efficiency and modem quality that you are better off buying the older model than a S24.

Just buy Xiaomi or another brand that doesn’t have that stupid Exynos SoC.

Samsung is playing with it’s customers and it’s a very nasty game.

Not saying you are wrong, but is this confirmed yet? Won’t the European S24/S24+ use a new version of the Exynos chip which might potentially be closer to Snapdragon?

They announced the new Exynos earlier this month, so there’s 99% it’s coming back to power the S24
