Hey there! I’m wondering what Steam Deck model I should buy. Should I buy… A refurbished LCD 512gb? - 379€ Or a new OLED 512? - 569€ I’d be saving 190€ with the LCD one.

    I would say go with the OLED, for 190€ you get a bunch of features like, better battery life, Wi-Fi 6, 90hz Display, and of course the nice and vibrant OLED colors for me, it will be definitely the OLED model.

    When money isn’t the problem, go for the OLED model.

    If your on a budget, than buy the lcd model.

    I have a 512GB LCD and I say OLED. I haven’t seen one in person but if its better than Switch OLED’s screen (which I have) then it is definitely the way to go. They also improved a lot of other things in the OLED model besides the screen (improved battery life being a big one).

    If you do go with LCD, you can find lower prices buying used, though maybe you want the warranty.

    I’m thinking of selling my 512GB and getting an OLED model.

    Fyi the oled not only has a better screen but it also has like 50% more battery life or so, a faster wifi, more recent bluetooth version,quieter fan etc, it’s not just the screen (which also has HDR).

    I have the lcd model because i bought it in 2021 (first day of preorders) but if I was buying it right now i would definitely go for the oled.
