Thanks to the steam deck I finally started purchasing games after sailing the seas if you know what I mean. It’s pretty great but unsustainable for me. I heard of humblebundle from another SD subreddit but looking at it, all the games seem. . .for lack of a better word, mid. Maybe I just don’t know enough about it
Bundles are, aside from giveaways, objectively the best value deals in gaming.
However, it depends on if the games are actually of any interest to you. I’d rather spend £10 on one game in a Steam sale that I know I’ll play than £10 on a bundle of games I never will.
Of course, you’re not going to get the newest AAA releases in a bundle, but you can definitely get some great games here and there.
If you’re low on money but looking to build up your library, then you should:
Check humble bundle and Fanatical frequently to see if they have anything that interests you. Sure, most of the stuff they have is going to be mid, but every now and again, they have something great.
Keep an eye out for sales. Look at isthereanydeal.com to see if there are any good deals.
Make an Epic account and grab the free game every week. As well as Amazon Prime, if you’re a Prime subscriber.
Look into f2p options. There are some great games that play great on the Deck: Genshin Impact, Warframe, Path of Exile, Rocket League, Asphalt.
