don’t get anything brand new, its gonna be complete garbage. Get a used laptop off of ebay, something like a Lenovo ThinkPad or HP EliteBook would be great.
I live by them. At least when looking at cheap and capable machines. I must be really lucky with them I have more than 10 of them. All 2015/2016 models.
My 2012 elitebook was still going strong until this year I suddenly couldn’t connect to internet even after following every troubleshooting step available.
For $150 I’d buy the same exact one again today if I still needed it

HP elitebooks in my opinion are pieces of shit… I have had 2 and both of them had MOBO problems straight from factory
