MacBooks are very well designed. Excellent build quality, long lasting batteries, amazing displays, very thin and light, and the M chips are very powerful, efficient, and run very cool.

MacBooks are some of the best laptops. Last a long time, excellent build quality, amazing displays and battery life, they really are worth it. I would say that if you don’t do anything intensive, a MacBook Air would get the job done for cheaper.
I use Gmail, mostly because the Mail app doesn’t give me instant notifications.
don’t get anything brand new, its gonna be complete garbage. Get a used laptop off of ebay, something like a Lenovo ThinkPad or HP EliteBook would be great.
For years I’ve always used $10 clear cases from random Amazon brands that come with a screen protector. They have always worked great. And when they get scratched up or yellowed, oh well, another $10.
They both suck, do not buy either. Get a used laptop
HP Spectres are amazing laptops if you want to go up the premium range, mine is my best laptop I’ve ever had. Other good laptops are Dell XPS and Lenovo ThinkPads.
Definitely don’t get a Chromebook, they’re a waste of money, and they’re cheap useless garbage.
The new M series MacBooks are some of the best laptops around, and have the absolute best battery life around.
business laptops are just overall a better option than consumer laptops, except higher end ones like Dell XPS and HP Spectre
First phone was a 6s. Think I got it around 2016 or 2017 until the screen cracked and I upgraded to an XR in 2019. Water damaged killed the Face ID sensors, speakers were partly blown, and screen cracked (again), so I upgraded to a 12 Pro in 2021. Earlier this year the main camera stopped focusing and lens started making noise and moving around. Took it to Genius Bar, and they didn’t fix it because they said there was water inside the phone (which I believe them, was at the beach and pool a lot this year).
Currently on the 14 Pro Max I got in early summer 2023. So far, no issues. From my track record, 2025 will probably be when I fuck up my phone again lol.
An education focused laptop would be great, since most schools use god awful chrome books.
Something like the 11" MacBook Air was. A 12" 1080p display, slimmed down M1, and 16GB RAM would be great as a laptop for school students.
