Damn… brand new out of box and the button felt weird… started sticking when pressed lightly
I just received my LE and I have the exact same problem. The B button gets stuck. At least I don’t have any dead pixels. I hope it will fix itself the more I use it. I won’t RMA just for that.
Glad to see the old friend!
That said I thought they’d got this one sorted out as my friend had slightly newer version of SD and his was built to better tolerances. The B didn’t stick and the trigger didn’t squek.
I used a small (like half a centimeter wide) strip of sandpaper to smoothen the inner upper edge of my LCD’s b button without taking it apart, there should be enough of a gap there too to stick it in and go at it without scratching the outer surface of the shell
This sounds horrifying.
how so?
Hit it with your purse
I find slopping butter on it does the trick
Are you the mad hatter?
I found giving it a sloppy also works
that’s my purse!!!
Yeah mine did this too, clears up pretty quick don’t sweat it but keep an eye on it, you got warranty for a while anyway
Mine was stuck from some wierd gunk . I turned it off and sprayed alcohol on it and rapidly pressed it and it worked out . This is new though send it back maybe?
I find for that button specially if you really press it down super hard it will get stuck. This is hard to avoid depending on which game you’re playing such as a very intense game 😂
my X and A buttons are a little stiff and keep sticking
Got my le yesterday I guess it is a widespread issue because of the design of steam deck. I tried this method of a piece of tape and it’s working so far. https://youtu.be/aBg0rwpATAg?si=b1TVr_s5y9QD1YFq
My ABXY buttons are too loose, they rattle when i move my deck.
Anyone able to meassure LCD deck action buttons diameter ?
On OLED i measure this, it’s like the buttons are too small for the shell.
I measured all buttons 8,66 - 8,72 mm, Wondering if LCD buttons are the same size.
My x button is stuck reached out to valve and they sent me a return lable on plus side is still have my lcd version in the mean time… I could live with it but at $706 after taxes it shouldn’t be doing that and don’t want it to get worse also
This happens on my non-oled steam deck too. It just fixes itself with usage.
lol
I squeeze glasses cleaning cloths around sticky buttons if that happens. (Console off)
You should have gotten the glossy screen and that wouldn’t have happened.

And that makes sense how……
/s means sarcastic tone
putting a / followed by a letter is a tone indicator to make it easier to convey tone in text
like /j is joking
