  • No way this is software issue. It’s interference.I plugged in my headphones (Sony XM4s, Sennheiser HD 598) via jack and also plugged in the charger and could hear even increased noise (humming, very significant) while charger was plugged in.Note: Humming in Sennheiser HD598 was very low, i would even mark it as acceptable.

So this has to do with different impedance of headphones (16 Ohm Sony vs 50 Ohm Sennheiser.)

So I think the solution is either return the unit, or use usb-c dongle as external DAC. (or bluetooth low latency headphones if you have some)

In my case it doesn’t cause any functionality issue. But hear me out. It’s poor engineering. First thing i noticed when i picked my new steamdeck is something rattling. I tought something was forgotten inside. Turns out it’s the ABXY buttons loose…

When i pick up my 40 euro Xbox controller everything feels solid, no rattling whatsoever. I bet PS5 controller is not rattling also.

I would expect the same from 600 euro device.
