So, I’m finally upgrading my SFF PC’s 12100F. I was considering getting a used 13500T (~165 USD on ebay).
I know the T SKUs are basically the same as the normal ones with different power limits, but, my question is this - if I bumped the 13500T’s PL1 from 35W to 65W and left the PL2 at 92W, would I get performance closer to the 13500, without raising the thermals too much?
Your thermals are going to be worse for sure. 35W to 65W is an 85% increase in sustained power draw. How much they raise is completely a function of how much cooling is available for the system. If it’s running warm at 35W it will throttle at 65W.
