I posted a much more in depth explanation but the mods killed my post because they said I was looking for tech support which I wasn’t. I made clear in my post I went through tech support and samsungs support ended with, 'Live without a phone for an indefinite amount of time while you mail in the phone and maybe you’ll get a phone back or not which I said was unacceptable. I am not expecting any tech support in this thread. I merely want people who are considering a samsung phone to know that if your phone is defective, samsung expects you to mail it back to them for an unknown amount of time during which you will have no phone for them to decide if they will fix it or give you a refund. That is all. I am in no way expecting anyone on this sub to solve my problem. I merely want people to know what samsung does to support their products.

So, like every other cell phone company today? It’s not like Apple has kids behind the counter wielding soldering irons to replace BT chips on the boards.

Although better than virtually every other company, Samsung has service centers damn near everywhere for same day service. Don’t even have to wait for a replacement to be sent to you.

Apple repairing my iPhone took 1 week, Samsung repairing my Fold took 3 Months. And thats not even including the incredible hassle to get them to do it under warranty.

Either way - you were without a phone for a period of time with both companies, which seemed to be OC’s big point. Though I suspect there were options offered, but OC was too busy throwing a temper tantrum to hear them.

It also seems a bit strange that you had to wait on your phone with Apple. The several times I had to have warranty work on an iPhone, they sent me a replacement before I sent them my phone, so I was never waiting on them to repair my phone anyways…
