So I’m getting a steam deck for my Christmas this year and was wanting to know if I play a game on my main rig and say wanted to continue where I left off on my deck and vice versa is that possible?
Ik steam cloud saves are a thing but do most games still support that or will it cause issues with certain games?
You will need to make sure to close your games fully and let the cloud save upload. Rather than just hitting suspend
Some games support it with suspend, forgot the feature name but Spider-Man remastered and miles morales has it
The only issue I’ve had is game settings also syncing which meant when I was playing Nier:Automata on my PC it would start in 720p and look like shit, then when I played on my Steam Deck it would be trying to downscale from 1440p and run like shit until I remembered and changed the settings again.
This is only an issue with some games though as it’s a flag that devs have to toggle off when they enable cloud saves.
Every other game I’ve split between PC and Deck has been fine.
