I swear this sub has made me extremely uncomfortable and anxious about the dead pixel situation. I just got my Steamdeck OLED and spent maybe 30 minutes poring over it trying to find dead pixels instead of enjoying the upgrade.

Honestly, I’m still a bit paranoid despite 99% being sure that there are no dead pixels - I always thought this was an older manufacturer issue that had been ironed out over the years.

If it’s not noticeable, it’s probably not worth playing the screen lottery. People like to obsess over it, but most of the time, you won’t notice if you don’t look for it.

Heck, I had a Vita with a very obvious dead pixel, and it still barely affected my enjoyment.

Meanwhile the non-limited edition models have a better display and much lower chances of defects.
