My new OLED came in, it’s my first Deck, but unfortunately I’m struggling with the upper USB-C port. The device charge normally, but not a single USB accessory is working. I tried a type c drive that come with an LED and it does not power up, a type-c SD adapter and it does not give any sign of life, same with my USB-C keyboard. I discovered that the deck will eventually turn off the port when battery drops after 45%, but I also tried charging it up and it does not help. If I have to send this back I’ll get depressed

It’s been reported a few times. The issue seems to be that the USB-C port doesn’t provide power when acting as a host. Using a powered USB hub everything starts working correctly.

It’s likely a software issue in firmware and will be fixed.

Thank you, it’s heartening. When you say it has been reported and that’s firmware you mean lately and on the OLED only? Because I looked up and did not find much. And do you know if using a powered USB hub “wakes up” the port permanently so that later it can be used without the hub?

My OLED usb c port won’t work with any device but if I connect usb hub, even without power - everything works fine. Very weird issue, but looks more like software than hardware.

Well this is even stranger, wonder if there is anything we can try in the shell to fix it. I will investigate with an hub, I currently don’t have one with myself because I have it at my office, but I also tried a drive through USB-C to A adapter and nothing.
