Hey everyone,
Inspired by u/markercore and their great threads over in the switch Reddit, I figured I’d try to get some fun game focused conversation going over here! So, what are you playing this weekend? Personally I picked up a ton during the sale for my OLED, and I’m really diving into Dying Light for the first time, which is extremely fun. Also hoping to check out Sonic Frontiers and a few other odds and ends.
How about you all? Pickup anything exciting during the sale? Going onto hour 500 of Vampire Survivors? Lemme know!
Project zomboid! Finally have started get get a hang of it and got some mods going on.
Plus Dave the diver 10/10
Persona 5. I played Persona 4 through the winter holidays last season on the deck and that was amazing. That game fit the winter vibes so well, so I thought I’d try to replicate it with the newer title
Finished P4, tried a few times but still stuck on the last palace (I think) of P5. Nonetheless both are great games
Sonic Superstars is downloading right now
Nice! Hope you enjoy it looks fun
Been jumping back and forth a lot! My OLED came a couple of days ago. Here’s a top 5:
- Doom 2016 has been a blast - Gorgeous on the deck.
- 20 mins til Dawn is a great Vampire Survivors clone.
- Disney Speedstorm with friends has been terrific.
- Desk Job had me craving Portal, so I re-downloaded that for the eleventeenth time. That game still rules.
- This old PSP game called Purumin??? If anyone’s played it or knows what I’m talking about, we’re best friends now. I don’t make the rules
Any recs for a good arcade racer? Speedstorm is fun, if a bit simplistic. But I don’t love racing sims.
Horizon Chase Turbo and the first Hot Wheels Unleashed are both super cheap right now. I’m really enjoying both of those.
Star Ocean Second Story Remake. This shit is like crack for my Jrpg loving brain. The QoL additions and the new 2dhd art style just absolutely icing on the cake
Played on switch specifically for the OLED screen. You gotta talk me down from buying again now that I got my SD OLED and can run it at 60fps…
Started Bear & Breakfast this week and really digging it.
Nothing. My steam deck just arrived today, but I have slow internet so I’ll be spending most of the weekend downloading.
Just got my 512 oled today. I was heavy into Control on my LCD so that was the first game I downloaded.
I also can’t wait to try Diablo 4 and Doom Eternal.
The Ascent is also on the list. RE2 remake. I also bought Ori and the will of the wisps to show off the oled screen. So many great games to play just got a full work day to negotiate first tomorrow……
I’m playing Refresh the order page: Episode Two
Half-life 1. After the 25th anniversary update, I’m having some serious nostalgia and want to replay it and so of the mods from back in the day.
I’m 2 years older than the game and never played it. Maybe it’s time to check it out…
I played it a ton when I was 12-17, I think it came out when I was 10 or so. But I loved messing around in it and playing The Specialists mod with friends. That was my first game on Steam and it will always have a special place in my memory and heart.
Tunic and then going to start Dave the diver
Uncharted 4, picked up the legacy of thieves collection during the sale.
Never played this series but I like it, kind of Assassin’s Creed meets tomb raider with great cinematic story
Plays well on deck
I’ve played every one on PS. Enjoy, 2 and 4 in particular are to die for.
“Setting up my first Steam Deck” is what I am playing. Which includes trying out many different games without a clear focus.
I’ve been maining Tiny Tina’s Wonderland and Devil May Cry 5!
Picked up a tonne during autumn sales, really enjoying Kingdoms and castles a chill city builder, simple but addictive. Started infinifactory today which is awesome. My time at Sandrock addictive but forces you to slow down with timers.
My GOTY for this year would be:
- Baldurs gate 3. Perfection. Couldn’t believe the graphic fidelity and performance. Played 17hrs of what felt like PlayStation graphics on a long ass flight.
- Dyson sphere program. Factorio but 3D with mechs and a huge sense of scale and wonder.
- Timberborn. Once you get the hang of it is an amazing example of how the trackpad can emulate a mouse interface easily. Excellent take on city building with awesome water physics.
- Graveyard keeper. Funny as hell, addictive gameplay loop. Like Stardew valley.
