Just got the new deck. Playing RDR2 in my hands is just unbelievable. Whether you have LCD or OLED this piece of tech is a beast.
That the Deck runs this title on a console level experience… in the palm of your hands is beyond insane.
CRT steam deck when?
My friend literally gave me his 512 lcd for free and only used it once …getting it tomorrow
That’s a good friend! You’ll love it.
Ita been shipped and receiving in mail today
Enjoy!
Lenevo Legion go running 60 with 0 drops, RDR2 loving it so far, love my steam deck as well.
Yah just don’t die of boredom with that game mmmk
Someone is jealous
mmmk
Welcome onboard, and enjoy your device! 👍😁
It really is awesome. Got my OLED 512 a few days ago, I haven’t been able to put it down. I guess my expectations were low, I was expecting to be dropping settings and playing everything around 30-40FPS. I was so wrong!
The amount of work Valve has done with Linux alone is astounding. SO MANY of my older games that were broken or unplayable on Windows work perfectly with a single click now. I’ve never seen such ease of compatibility in a Linux build.
It’s also the perfect system for enjoying games that were locked in 30FPS-land, such as Shenmue or LA Noire. No more screwing with refresh and sync setting between game engine and graphics cards to get a smooth/proper 30FPS experience - they work out of the box on this thing with no hassle and the 90hz screen handles 30FPS motion/panning amazingly.
I haven’t tackled games like RDR2, but all the stuff I have played hasn’t had any issue getting 60+ FPS while maintaining a decent image quality.
I got more than my moneys worth out of this thing, going in worrying I was going to regret it and wish I’d waited for the next model. No way, I love this thing!
I got my 512 LCD deck the other day, bought it as it was too cheap to pass up. I had tempered my expectations as it’s a handheld, but my god this thing is incredible. So far I’ve played PGA2K23, Forza Horizon 4, Dirt Rally 2 and various other games without a single problem. I was tempted to buy a pc at one point but I actually think I’m happy with just the deck.
It’s a bit of a monster. Unless you plan chasing the latest games (many of which I’m sure this thing will still run for the foreseeable future) there is enough here to entertain you for a long long time.
Honestly blown away by it, plenty to keep me going that’s for sure.
Sure is! Valve knew what they were doing. I’ve spent more in the steam store since getting my deck then I have in the last few years! I love it, the portable gaming device I always wanted.
The deck made me pirate games less
ok
Have the lcd deck and purchased the game in the sale . Started playing yesterday , IT IS BREATHTAKING, really amazing game and the deck is really able to handle the fps . And i suspect it will be even better on the Oled 🎸🌟
Posts asking for peace are just as bad.
I have around 2k of games on steam and I will join the deck community soon.
Finally have an excuse to chip at my vast backlog. Funny how a new device reignited my will to do it lol
Same, I am not big gamer anymore because I a am always on the go, and now I can finally use for what I paid for 🤣🤣
Does rdr2 run well? I remember reading awhile ago there were issues
I played it for a couple of hours just testing the battery and it was pretty much the PS4 visuals but with higher frames. I am impressed.
And it was purchased through steam?
Not my cup of tea. I love open world games, but they have to have skill trees, power ups, exploration that rewards you with armor, perks, etc. definitively, it has to have heavy RPG elements, the story is like the last thing I care about in a game.
