I got this bug since I updated to SteamOS 3.5.5 stable and it’s been a horrible experience. I think there should be a rollback update option NGL cause it’s really is bad with this bug, couldn’t play anything for a few days now. Anyways, will this problem get patched up with an update or could it be a hardware problem?
sounds like hardware rip. Least its not the 200mhz bug lol. I say contact valve
It’s not hardware. There is a Github and two Steam forum threads with hundreds of people reporting this exact bug, including me.
Mine is doing it too. I hope they push a fix for it soon.
I stopped playing on it since it happened, it is just too unstable to get anything done most of the time. Even simple games like Vampire Survivors, Death Must Die, and Final Fantasy 1-6 crashes constantly.
I had that issue too. you can resolve it by reverting to a previous point. look up the button combination to reach it.
Unfortunately I am on 3.5.7, and if I roll back it goes to 3.5.5, and the issue is still present.
Thanks for the tip though, I appreciate it.
Same problem here with Fallout 3 & 4, Skyrim and Prey as well. After 2-10 minutes the game crashes and „verifying installation“ reboot.
I am experiencing this issue. I sold my LCD Deck and got a 512GB OLED, and this clock speed problem is souring my new purchase. I hope Valve will actually acknowledge and fix the issue, because it seems like they are ignoring it for now.
There’s 3.5.7 now.
My SD started it after 3.5.5 but only in 1 game, at least for now. No Warhammer for me, tho(
