as long as your battery is fine and charged all is good. Real stress comes when you upgrade bios on desktop pc without ups.
Even then, modern motherboards have bios flashback which can be used even when the bios os corrupted. Also a manual bios flashing tool is only a few dollars on aliexpress
Flashback function is amazing however still majority of budget mobo don’t support it. I might be wrong but as far as I know to flash bios chip you’re required to unsolder it as pretty much all mobo have them soldered. Otherwise what are the pins for flashing if they exist on mobo?
I don’t even update that shit any more on my Alienware, it just blue screens it every time.
