Real stress comes when you upgrade bios on desktop pc without ups. - Even then, modern motherboards have bios flashback which can be used even when the bios os corrupted. Also a manual bios flashing tool is only a few dollars on aliexpress - Flashback function is amazing however still majority of budget mobo don’t support it. I might be wrong but as far as I know to flash bios chip you’re required to unsolder it as pretty much all mobo have them soldered. Otherwise what are the pins for flashing if they exist on mobo?
