I have bought 3 docks off my amazon and each one of them have their old problems. Some won’t connect to HDMI, some the Ethernet went connect at all on one of them and the other one won’t charge while connected. These are all “top picks” from amazing and we’re $20-$45. I have caved and bought the official dock for $80 and it has no problems. My only issue is that I’d like to have 3-4 docks for all tvs in my house and that’ll get expensive with only buying the official docks. What is everybody else’s experience with 3rd party docks?

    My official dock seems to work ok, but I get a lot of audio artifacting with my tv. Gonna give the ugreen dock a go and see how it performs to see if the audio issues are from the official dock or my tv.

    My 3rd party dock is okay and I barely have complaints besides it making a faint noise when my RK mech keyboard is demanding more energy with more lights on.

    My ivoler dock works perfectly. If you had issues with 3 different ones, I’m gonna say you were doing something wrong.

    This subreddit is just as filled with official dock issues and complaints. So it’s not specific to 3rd party docks, as much as docks in general.

    I should note it’s few and far between you ever see anyone complaining about issues with their USB-C Hubs…
