Hello, rather recently i started getting an issue of my non-steam games being stuck on “Launching” when started in gaming mode. But when i switch to desktop mode and start them there through Steam, they work just fine.
Obviously I can play using desktop mode only, but i prefer the convenience of gaming mode.

I’ve tried countless things in attempt to fix this - different versions of proton, disabling wifi, more than I can even remember right now. I’m really tired of spending time on fixing this and hope I get a solution here

    try adding to launch options.

    PROTON_LOG=1 %command%

    you should get a logfile either in the games own folder or your home/documents folder, cant remember which, have a look in the log for any obvious errors/fails.

    Ive had some games with issues like yours, got some of them working properly in gamemode by changing to GE-Proton (which it sounds like you have tried) or by running ProtonTricks and enabling Virtual Desktop.
