Hi folks. I have a 1tb OLED and picked up a dock yesterday. When I plugged it in and set it up the deck display would turn off as it should but the TV (4K Samsung) didn’t recognize it.

I was able to get the display to work through enabling safe display mode, so the dock is fine. After some experimenting I found that the highest resolution the display would work at least just the TV is 1080p. Looks fine, but I’d like full 4K. Any ideas?

Things I’ve done to narrow the possibilities

  1. the cable is a 4K cable and I tested it on my PS5. Works fine at the proper resolution

  2. the TV is set to game mode and 4K resolution

  3. the Deck outputs in 4K on my monitor while docked

  4. sent Gabe five bucks and Popeyes mashed potatoes as a peace offering

Any ideas appreciated, thanks

In my experience if I select 4k output games will not run well. I keep it on 1080p so I can get 60fps on games. The tv upscale the image regardless so it does look better than standard 1080p
