I’ve started setting up the back button in most games as sprint so I don’t have to keep pressing the stick in. Also feels better and easier to press. Never had a controller with back buttons/paddles but it can be useful.
Everything I played so far on my OLED is running smoother, and with more frames than my LCD. In my experience, Yes the same frame rate feels smoother on my oled compared to my LCD model.
Always play on consoles, currently have the ps5 but love the steam deck. Got mine 6 months ago, and ordered the LE Also. And I like that I can stream ps5 games when I feel like laying in bed or someone else is on the tv
So far for me , 1 response every 24 hrs
Most reliable the official dock from valve. They release firmware updates for it as well.
Try a factory rest if you haven’t. Reinstall the latest os
Probably a dumb question but When you sent out the LE oled for rma do you need to send it in the protective case it came with, the two shell case with the orange zipper? I have all the original packaging and I would prefer to send it back with the case it came with for protection , but will they send the replacement with a case as well? Or send my case back? Should I just use packaging material.
I put my extra dbrand protector on mine, looks completely fine. Colors and blacks. Make sure you check for dead pixels first if that is something that will bother you. I put the protector on first, and after a few days did the test and found 2. I’m going to need to remove it to rma and buy more now.
Probably bad quality. I have the dbrand screen protector and looks clear.
I tried all that. No other option then to start rma. I’m waiting for them to respond but I am going to ask if I can refund and purchase another LE so it’s faster. If not I’ll just RMA.
Yes , and 1080p works well, tv upscales the image regardless so graphics look nice. I use my ps5 controller when docked. It automatically switches between the docked resolution and deck resolution once you undock it. All you need to change is the external resolution under display settings to 1080p once you plug in the deck to the dock for the first time and that’s it.
Resolution of a specific game ? Or when docked. Once docked the setting for external resolution pops up.
If you want to change the resolution of a specific game, before starting the game and pressing play go the the options all the way to the right. You can set resolution there.
All I did was set it to medium graphics setting in game. I keep shadows on low and turned off film grain . Min and max framerate set at 90fps in game . If you rather play 60fps set the min and max to 60 in the in game settings and your deck screen refresh to 60. If you lower the Min framerate it always lags for me, that’s why I keep them the same number I would use as max either 60fps or 90fps in game settings. V sync was on as well.
Really only need screen protector and case if you want one like a soft tpu case or dbrand kill switch. Get a sd card and dock as well to plug in to tv
Hold volume down and three dot “…” button + power button for 1 min and if the power lights starts flashing keep holding down the vol down and … dot button for like another 15-30secs. Forces the system to reboot
There’s also a slider in the display settings to adjust colors
Same here with pc monitors but the pixels are so small on the deck that it likes fade away while playing with the distance you hold the deck. Pc monitor dead pixels stand out way more.
The pixels only show on certain color screens so they might be stuck, what can I do to fix it (try to fix it )
In my experience if I select 4k output games will not run well. I keep it on 1080p so I can get 60fps on games. The tv upscale the image regardless so it does look better than standard 1080p
Just dropped mines off at ups for rma today. Says it will be delivered on Tuesday , from. NJ to UT. lol 7 days seems long, some cheap shipping.
