Still on the fence about sending mines back but I found 2 dead/stuck pixels. They aren’t noticeable while playing and I only found it after running the tests, but now I know they are there lol.

If I decide to replace, would it better to rma or refund? What is the process, so I send only the deck back for the rma and do they provide the box/protective packaging? Do I sent the carrying case with it?

Really sucks, I don’t wanna wait for the whole process and then install all my games and emulators etc again. 😣

If it bothers you , RMA . Not worth to just “live with it” with such an expensive piece of kit

If you aren’t noticing them while playing, do you really care? Is it worth the time without a Deck to get another one? I’m not being flippant here, you need to ask yourself if it’s worth this much effort to fix a problem you’re not even aware of during regular use.

I just decided to refund and buy again. I should get my new 1TB deck tomorrow and I’ll send my LE back in a few days. I didn’t want to wait forever for the RMA process and I also don’t want to play the lottery with the BOE panels.

I feel like I can live with it for now, I might try and RMA in January when I’ll be playing other games and can survive without a deck for a few weeks. Depends on if it still bothers me then.

Same here with pc monitors but the pixels are so small on the deck that it likes fade away while playing with the distance you hold the deck. Pc monitor dead pixels stand out way more.

You can’t buy another LE unless you have another account, so you would have to rma if you want the LE still.

If I RMA, do they send a new deck or fix my current one? Asking because I’m wondering if they will or delete everything I’ve installed. If they just fix the screen and I don’t have to reinstall everything again that would be ideal. I still have my 512 lcd to play with during that process. But if they delete everything or send a new deck I’d need to reinstall everything so in that case I probably would just ask for refund and buy another and hope for the best.

No guarantee on which one of the two they’ll do. I’d wager changes are higher that they will replace the whole thing at this point early in the OLED decks release

OP, did you try and see if it’s just a stuck pixel? Once they’re unstuck, they’ll be fine and you won’t have to RMA.

You can of course return it - and Valve has offered RMAs or fixing for stuck pixels for users that didn’t want to unstuck them - but the screen isn’t damaged.
