On my 512 lcd I was only able to manage 50-60fps but was surprised to see it play so smooth at this high framerate. Valve did a great job on this oled model

What other games have you noticed jump up in framerate and recommend?

Warframe runs at 90FPS. Surprised the hell out of me until I realized the screen is set to 90hz by default so if a game supports frame rate higher than 60 then it’s going to shoot for 90 unless the user changes it. Good stuff.

Also started playing Lost Planet again and that runs at 90FPS. Looks great but not so surprising considering how old the game is.

The exception so far, Monster Hunter: World is a no go. Steam Deck OLED simply cannot run that game at 90fps reliably. It struggles at 60FPS with anything other than low settings with various features turned off. Even then it’s suspect. 40-45 FPS with a mix of high to med settings with HDR and it’s gravy. 30FPS at max settings looks great on the OLED but doesn’t feel as good to play due to lower frame rate.

That is great 😃, I am looking at getting OLED 512GB Steam Deck for Halo Infinite & Halo Master Chief Collection. What fps will these get?

Seriously, please share your settings. I’m in the process of tweaking mine and would love something to compare against.

All I did was set it to medium graphics setting in game. I keep shadows on low and turned off film grain . Min and max framerate set at 90fps in game . If you rather play 60fps set the min and max to 60 in the in game settings and your deck screen refresh to 60. If you lower the Min framerate it always lags for me, that’s why I keep them the same number I would use as max either 60fps or 90fps in game settings. V sync was on as well.
