I have an OLED C1 TV and anytime I play PS5 games in 30fps it looked choppy and I remember people telling me OLEDs are not great for 30fps gaming. Does that not apply to the OLED? Is it true that the 90hz makes 30 fps look much smoother? I have the 512 LCD version and everything looks kinda blurry and motion ghosts a little. Idk if that’s the matte screen but if that goes away I think that would make the purchase worth it alone.

OLEDs are fine for 30FPS. It’s below that, 24FPS content on certain OLED TVs, that’s where some have issues with motion judder.

I think the issue with 24fps content is the 3/2 pull down happening at 60hz and combined with OLED’s faster response times meaning the judder is hidden on LCDs

Everything I played so far on my OLED is running smoother, and with more frames than my LCD. In my experience, Yes the same frame rate feels smoother on my oled compared to my LCD model.

Sorry, I never play at 30fps. I have both LCD and OLED SD, all I can tell you is that OLED screen on Steam Deck has way less ghosting, making the image sharper and easier on my eyes.

I found this thread because I was just wondering this. I booted up Cyberpunk and Guardians of the Galaxy at 30FPS and I swear they look and play MUCH better on the OLED deck than they every did on the LCD. Maybe it’s the reduced latency or pixel response times I don’t know but I really didn’t enjoy 30FPS games on the LCD deck but I’m loving them on the OLED.
