Look, I know it’s a long shot. However, if they made a withdrawal, the bank could get their identity. There are tons of cameras in such places. Maybe contacting the police to assist here is not a bad idea
In the past I’ve lost something and had it handed in at the local police station. If you haven’t already, might also be worth asking within the bank.
Nobody takes lost items to police anymore because they know they’ll either just keep it for one of themselves or pawn it instead.
