LCD is fine, I used it for 18 months. But if you have the means and use your SD a lot then the improved screen + all other benefits of the redesign are totally worth it.

Wii is a potato from nearly twenty years ago.

The hardest part about emulating it is the controls in some games.

Now I’ve got the OLED SD that’s all my screens using the technology (TV, monitor, Switch and Phone) and I can’t ever go back.

Will be interested what they launch the Switch 2 with. They have to surely launch an OLED SKU.

You clearly don’t need it, and it sounds like you already knew that.

I had a modest Steam Library of 120 games, many of which I was actively playing through, when I got the Deck. It allows me to continue progress while relaxing upstairs away from my desktop.

If you’re coming in cold, with a huge backlog elsewhere, and already have a portable device for the few trips who take a year, then I see no point in it.

Just use the SSD for more demanding games (ie open world AAAs and such) and delete them/move them to the MicroSD when completed.

Most other things can just be ran straight off the MicroSD.

Never understood the need for an SSD upgrade myself.
