Sold my 512 LCD to them on Wednesday for £319 cash, they’re now offering £183. Other models looked to have dropped down heavy too.

Average sold Ebay listing looks to be down from around £360-370 to £290-£300 as well.

Don’t sit on it too long if you bought an OLED with the intention of using your old model’s sale to subsidise the upgrade.

I got £319 from them last week, didn’t know how long it would take them to catch on so I didn’t want to take any risks!

Well, the thing is, quite simply, everyone had the same idea: I got my Steam Deck 10 months ago, and on CEX, I can sell it for at least 3/4 of the price I paid. I sell it, add £100 (or less), and voila, I can get the new OLED. However, in just a week, the entire CEX marketplace got flooded with Steam Deck LCD units, causing the prices to plummet. Now, there are plenty available. When I was in the queue for mine, I checked CEX to see if I could find a second-hand one. I live in London, and I remember there was one available, which lasted only 2 days, in Zone 4 in West London. The next one was somewhere near Eastbourne on the southeast coast. I think they were even more expensive than buying one from the official website. It’s all about the market dynamics and the delicate balance between supply and demand.

I set up a drop and go order for my 256gb on Friday evening and the cash price was at £243, the next morning it dropped right the way down to £150!

It was incredibly lucky that I decided to make that online order for a drop off, took it in to the shop on Saturday and they honoured it just fine. Whilst I was in there past lunchtime they said they’d already had 5 decks sold to them that morning!

Or sit on it longer. It’s not like they’re going to become valueless. Soon after that they’ll be ‘original first models’
