I recently bought a steam deck, I was initially going to invest about $1,200 into a gaming PC but overall decided getting a deck would be cheaper and easier to handle. Now, my little brother has an Xbox and I’m trying to figure out what games I can play with him, but it feels like most games are only cross-platform between the other consoles except for steam users. Is there any way to get around it, personally I’d rather not have to download Windows to lose some performance and I have been trying COD: Cold War on Lutris but it always freezes at the loading screen with a sliver of space left, I’d appreciate the help!

I’m pretty sure you need gamepass install for cross platform play on Xbox, apart from a few select games that have their own cross platform systems, like destiny or warframe.

You may need to install windows for that, I’m unsure of the Linux workarounds, I just use my SD for steam games

Thanks you! Found a video explaining the polygon form about how to add game-pass to the steam deck

Cod cold war doesnt work on steamos ie linux. You have to run it under windows 11. Call of duty black ops cold war, vanguard, modern warfare I\II\III all need windows 11.

My little brother used to play Rocket League and I suck at it, maybe I’ll give it another go after I see what other options I can find
