A couple weeks ago I installed Genshin Impact on my Steam Deck and the guide made me run the installer/game.exe through Steam and enable Proton, and it worked flawlessly…can I just do that for everything? Like for instance installing Fortnite Via Epic instead of Heroic (just as an example)?
Theoreticly yes, but the success rate might not always be 100%
Epic, EA, Uplay are very well on SD, and you can add them in your Steam library and install games on their platforms. Google non steam launcher, it is very helpful.
Yes… but things like Lutris, Bottles and Heroic optimize and manage things for you.
I’d advise looking into lutris. A lot easier than messing around with everything as a non steam game
Fortnite won’t work because Tim Sweeney is a stubborn idiot who thinks letting Fortnite be able to run on Linux will cause an influx of cheaters, thus the anti-cheat has been configured to prevent Fortnite from running on Linux
