Was playing Risk of Rain Returns and my LB stopped working… Like not even clicking/bumping anymore…

It’s out of warranty, but my friend said I should try to RMA and that valve is pretty good and generous with repairs… But if it’s gonna cost me an arm and leg, I feel like DIY would be better. But my DIY experience on the switch might not hold with the deck… Any advice? Thoughts?

You might be able to fix it yourself, but there’s a possibility it’s the daughterboard, which they don’t sell replacements of.

Definitely worth it to open it up and take a look to see exactly what the issue is. If it’s just the plastic part, they sell replacements and it’s an easy issue to fix.

I had the same problem, but my issue was with the daughterboard so I had to RMA.

The button underneath is probably broken. That happen if the Deck falls on the bumper, it might be fine for a while and then broke later when playing. It will require soldering skills to fix. And probably sourcing a replacement button.

So I took it apart, and what I’m seeing is that the LB button itself doesn’t seem damaged… looks the same as RB. However it noticably doesn’t decend low enough to actuate the button beneath.

I powered it on and luckily manually actuating the button, it still works.

So seems like something is keeping it from lowering it all the way? But I’m order to look at the LB closer, I would have to further teardown… Which I’m wary of. Is it that hard to inspect further?
