So with the new OLED steam deck. Won’t there be burn in with it on standby? Normally the screen needs to stay “on” so it can download games or update. I leave it “on” overnight. Won’t that damage the new models?

    Unless you are in the habit of leaving the screen on for like 8 hours straight on one screen regularly you don’t need to worry about it.

    You can set the screen to dim after a certain period, that’ll help. Also, if you have an HDMI dock/dongle, as soon as it detects an HDMI cable it’ll shut off the internal screen (the external TV or monitor does NOT have to be on).

    Likely it won’t be much of an issue long term but if you’re really worried about it, these measures will help.
