I am on T mobile and would like to switch to AT&T. Planning on getting an S23 ultra and trading in my old iPhone 11 for $830 credit. Basically will be adding $5 a month for the next 3 yrs not including the unlimited plan that I need to be on. Should i pull the trigger now or wait for the S24? I may not get better trade in credits next year or better deal for the S24 if I pass on this chance…

I’d definitely wait if I were you, especially, if you’re in a SD region. From the leaks, the 24 Ultra looks quite promising.

Noone knows if the S24 series will be better or even just good.

The S23 ultra is known to be a good model.

So basically, you are betting of the S24 series to be significantly better to be worth the wait and the extra money.

I would recommend waiting if you can. I am waiting to upgrade my S22 Ultra to the 24 Ultra with, hopefully, a flat screen.

I honestly am not too keen on having tons of AI features in my phone so I got a S23 while the deals could be had via Samsung. The carriers and Samsung are always going to run deals. I think if you wait you might risk losing some value on the phone since it will be a year older and because of the new tech in the S24 the cost of the phone might go up. But it’s all speculation at this point. The real question is are you willing to ride out 2 or 3 more months with TMobile if you do decide to wait.

Unlike other posters, dont just wait for the new one because its newer, its still unknown how the gen3 chip is being implemented, the camera setup is still to be seen the performance since 10x is gone. But yea if you want to wait since its newer go for it. 23U has been time tested overall and at least for this one the chip isnt bad and is across the board
