Probably my biggest let down, not gonna lie…
It’s missing that rich, textured factory smell of the original. Instead the smell is sweeter, cheaper, and does not have me coming back for more.
Don’t order an OLED if this is a deal breaker for you. You’ve been warned.
If anyone bought a Nintendo Switch on launch, and maybe it is still the same for newer versions, did you notice the strong odor that console gave off? It was a strong chemical and plastic smell - truly awful. The Steam Deck OLED has a new plastic smell, but nothing as strong and unbearable as that.
