I see a lot of reviews saying that if you want to be able to play on the Steam Deck, you’ll need to do some modding or at least to know how to code, is this true ? Because I know nothing about informatics so will I able to play good games without lagging or anything ?

If you are going to play games from Steam only, there is no need for modding/tinkering. It’s getting a bit more difficult if you want to play games from outside of the Steam Store, like from other game stores, or emulators etc. byt that’s not really hard to do, it doesn’t require coding for sure, all you have to do is to follow guides, and there are many of them on the internet

If you keep yourself to the steam store. You’ll be very fine being a literal tech idiot even. Worst case scenario sooner or later you’ll need GE proton but that’s like a 10 minute YouTube video but only takes like 3 minutes irl and no command line or anything needed.

nope, no modding required. Ever… Just stick to steam games that are verified.
