Hey people, I’ve just received my OLED, and after playing around with it enough to lower the battery, swapped the SSD to my upgraded 1TB one from the LCD model to the new device. After doing that (during which I’ve consciously unplugged the screen cable to make it easier, probably not relevant) and booting up, no sound made it out of the device. Even after plugging in USB-C headphones.

I’ve swapped the original 512GB disk back, unfortunately that did not resolve the issue. Any idea what I can do? I’ve read that one person has reseated the audio cable back in such case, however I cannot find any guide that pinpoints which one it is. Any help is appreciated, I hope I didn’t break my new Deck!

I had a little adventure because the battery storage mode didn’t work two times out of three (might have been working too fast), but then I’ve found that little cable and happy sailing for me.

The positioning of it (and the display cable) does make me think that Valve didn’t want users to change the SSD as easily as before.
