I want to download a bunch of games overnight , but scared of Burn in on my new OLED. What’s the best way to go about doing this safely?

Thanks for the helpful comments, im aware that it would be very difficult for burn in (i’ve used a OLED Switch for almost a year) just wanted to lean on the side of caution on my first night of owning the thing. i downloaded games in desktop mode and worked perfect, thank you :)

Mine downloaded in gaming mode for 16 hours straight yesterday and it didn’t have any burn in. Turned down the brightness to a bare minimum. Should’ve known that desktop mode is the way for extra long download sessions. 🤦

I downloaded a few large games and it ended up going into sleep mode once it was done downloading.

Regardless though, oled tech has came a long way and I wouldn’t worry about burn in. Look at bob wulf on you tube with his switch oled. It finally has burn in, but he left it on for 2 years on the same screen. I think he didn’t have any noticeable differences until a year if I recall correctly lol

Unless you force the screen to stay on for months on a static screen you aren’t going to get burn in. Just use it. Don’t worry about it.

Another option from the already mentioned ones, leave it docked while downloading

I don’t know what to make of your question… If you have heard of the term “burn in” and/or read it in some article somewhere, then you must also know that it would take at least twelve months or so of a static bright image for it to even be possible of happening.

It will be fine for 10hrs bud…
