I’m looking to get a steam deck for my birthday next month and I’m wondering what to expect and what version should I buy? And is it worth it?

    I love my 512 LCD. I have a beast of a PC, so I use my deck mainly on the couch or bed. I don’t use a dock. Sure the deck can run games like Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy, but I prefer to play those on my crisp 1440p monitor on my PC.

    I mainly use my deck to play my backlog of older/indie games. For example, Life is Strange, Mad Max, the Lego series (Lego Batman, Lego Star Wars, etc) Shadow of Mordor, etc. You can also easily emulate games on it too, like Pokémon or Mario.

    Any version you get is great, just make sure to pick up a nice Micro SD card.
